BANANA

Bananas were brought to Hawaii by early Polynesian voyagers as part of their “canoe plants,” introducing them as a vital food and resource for new settlements.

The banana plant embodies abundance, resilience, and nourishment.

Its stalk, taken from the part between the fruit and flower that is usually discarded—is used in our Banana Collar necklace. This natural texture, reminiscent of a spine, can only be created by nature, while the clustered fruit reflects community, fertility, and the cycles of life.
